2530 Grand Concourse

The Dollar Savings Bank at 2530 Grand Concourse is a historic landmark built in 1932 by Architect Adolf L. Muller of Halsey, McCormack & Helmer that closed in 1992 after changing hands several times. Aufgang worked closely with MADDD Equities and the Landmarks Preservation Commission to preserve and restore the original Art Deco details. This included replacing tile and plaster, repairing cracks, and installing metal accents that match with original material or appearance. The egresses were also updated to adhere with modern fire safety codes and to accommodate the needs of the Fine Fare supermarket.

The clock tower is also planned to be restored to working order. The top of the 10-story structure will have LED signage designed to imitate the original neon.
